Medjugorje is a town located in the Herzegovina Region of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located some 25 km Southwest of Mostar and close to the border of Croatia. It is 200 meters above the sea level. The town is part of the municipality of Čitluk. Medjugorje, which means “between mountains” and it has a mild Mediterranean climate.

 

Since 1981, in this small town, the Blessed Virgin Mary, has been appearing and giving messages to the world through six people. The site has become a popular place for the Catholic Pilgrims.

 

Our Lady's Mission is one of peace; She has come to earth to help us and convert our lives back to God. Her role has always been one of guiding people to Her Son, our savior Jesus Christ.
