West Bank
Nablus
- It is considered one of the most important business cities in Palestine, it is located 63 km north of Jerusalem between Mt. Gerzim and Mt. Ebal; those two mountains are around 900 meters above the sea level. Mount Gerzim is covered with green trees and the Samaritans have been living on Mount Gerzim for 2500 years; they recently have built a modern synagogue. Mount Ebal is, for the most part, dark rocks.
- The Roman emperor Titus founded it in 72 AD in honor of his father Flavius and it was called the New City "Flavia Neapolis". At the entrance of the city Jacob’s well is located, the place where Jacob pitched a tent and dug a deep well for his family, since then it has been known as Jacob’s well and in the old city there is a roofed market called Souk where one can see the Turkish baths and many traditional industries.
Nablus ( Jacob’s Well)
- Jacob’s Well is located at the entrance of the City of Nablus. Jacob on his return from Mesopotamia bought a plot of a land on which he pitched a tent and dug a deep well for his family, since then it has been known as Jacob’s well.

Jenin
- Jenin is a Palestinian Town lies in the north of the West Bank, 43 km north of Nablus, it is considered the major agricultural center for the surrounding towns, and it is producing wheat, Olives, dates, and carobs. Jenin is considered the main market center of Northern Palestine.
- The name of Jenin was derived from Ein Ganim meaning the spring of Ganim and referring to the region’s plentiful spring. Jenin was known as the place of Gina in the Amarna letters in the fourteenth century BCE. The city of Jenin was under the control of the Crusaders in the 12th century who called it “Le Grand Gerin”.
Burqin Church ( Ten Lepers Church)
- Burqin Church or St. George's Church is a Byzantine Orthodox church in Jenin, West Bank, in a town of Burqin. It is considered to be the fifth oldest Christian holy place and the third-oldest church in the world. It’s the place where Jesus had passed through Burqin on his way to Jerusalem from Nazareth and as he was passing by the village he heard cries for help from ten lepers who were isolated in quarantine. He encountered them and passed his hand on their faces and then they were immediately cured. Since this miracle, the church became a station for many Christian pilgrims.
Sebastia
- Sebastia is the home of many important archaeological sites. The ancient site of Samaria-Sebaste is located just above the built up area of the modern day village on the eastern slope of the hill. The ruins dominate the hillside and comprise remains from six successive cultures dating back 10,000 years.
Taybeh (Ramallah)
- Taybeh is a town located in Palestine, around 15 kilometers Northeast of Jerusalem. It attracts tourists and pilgrims and it has a Beer factory and an Olive press. Taybeh city has also Church-owned schools the Orthodox Patriarchal school and the Roman Catholic school.
Hebron & Abraham Oak
- Hebron is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. The Cave of the Patriarchs is the most famous historic sites in Hebron, beside that there is The Abraham’s Oak Holy Trinity Orthodox Monastery; it is founded in the 20th century on the site of the ancient Oak of Mamre. The lands were acquired by the Russian Church in the 19th century.
