I warmly and wholeheartedly invite you to participate in the programs of the Ecumenical Center for Pilgrims and Biblical Studies. The ECPBS is truly ecumenical, offering to all Christians the opportunity to take part guided pilgrimages to culturally significant and timelessly sacred places in the Holy Land; pilgrimages, moreover, which are not simply ‘guided tours’, but are organized with sensitive regard for the living environment and the peoples that are greeted, which are founded upon the threefold edifice of expert biblical knowledge and scholarship, of an intimate understanding of the peoples and traditions of the region, and of a profound love of the mysteries and historical record of Christianity.

 

The atmosphere of the land is thrilling, and the experience of its precious heritage is deeply moving. Past and present interweave in folk tradition and religious symbolism; and pilgrims are guided to ‘live the bible’ as they reflect upon portions of God’s Word particularly significant to the areas they are visiting, and as they pass through the rich experiences of the Holy Land in a manner which is both spiritually uplifting and intellectually inspiring.

 

Come, see this land where Christ walked; look upon the testament of the ages in beautiful churches and monasteries; feel Christ’s presence in all that you adventure and in all men, women and children that you meet.
